Mrs. Tarara

Courtney A. Tarara

President

Mrs. Tarara was elected to a four-year term in 2016 and a six-year term in 2020. She owns several businesses in downtown Howell and is a staunch supporter of her community. She has served on the Howell MainStreet DDA Board as Secretary and chaired its Design Committee. Mrs. Tarara is a member of 100 Women Who Care about Livingston County and her business, Frontal Lobe Coworking, partners with Richard Lim Photography and Livingston County Catholic Charities several times a year. Mrs. Tarara, a Howell High School alumna, attended Northwood University where she double majored in International Business and Management with a minor in Spanish. Mrs. Tarara and her husband have two children attending Howell Public Schools. 

Mrs. Tarara serves on the i3 (Instruction, Improvement and Innovation) Committee, the Superintendent's Evaluation and Contract Committee, and the Bond Oversight Committee.

Mrs. Pasini   Stacy R. Pasini

Vice-President

Mrs. Pasini was elected to four-year terms in 2012 and in 2016. In 2020 she was elected to a six-year team. She is a Caseworker II for the Oakland County Circuit Court/Family Division where she has been employed for over 20 years. She has been active in her neighborhood association, Elementary PTO, and in a variety of committees throughout the district. Mrs. Pasini holds a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice, and a Masters Degree in Public Administration. Additionally, she has completed a year-long leadership training program through Oakland County. Mrs. Pasini is also an adjunct faculty member at Madonna University in the Political Science Department. Mrs. Pasini and her husband Scott have four daughters.

Mrs. Pasini is the chair of the i3 (Instruction, Improvement and Innovation) Committee and serves on the Superintendent's Evaluation and Contact Committee, and the Coordinated School Health & Wellness Committee.

Mr. Earl 

Brent Earl
Secretary

Mr. Earl was elected to four-year terms in 2014 and 2018. He was appointed to the Board in 2022. He is currently a Sales Manager for EverAg and raises cattle and other animals on his family farm, which dates back to the 1860’s. Mr. Earl graduated from Howell High School in 1985. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Hillsdale College. His wife Jennifer is an English Language Arts Teacher at Highlander Way Middle School. Together they have four children, with three Howell graduates and one currently attending Howell High School.

Mr. Earl is the chair of the Policy Committee and the 21st Century Technology Committees, and serves on the Finance Committee.

Mrs. Conn

Christy Conn

Treasurer

Mrs. Conn was elected to a four-year term in 2018 and a six-year term in 2022. She is a Human Resources consultant in Livingston County. Mrs. Conn has been a resident of the Howell Public Schools district since 2006. She has previously served on the Howell Mainstreet Design Committee and with the Livingston Area Human Resource Association (LAHRA), including the role of President. Mrs. Conn gives back to the community through organizations including but not limited to 100 Women Who Care About Livingston County, Howell Rotary, and the Livingston County United Way. She received her Bachelor of Business Administration from Western Michigan University and the Lee Honors College in 2003. She also holds professional certifications in her field. Mrs. Conn and her husband Eric have three children, all of whom attend Howell Public Schools.

Mrs. Conn is the chair of the Finance Committee and serves on the Superintendent's Evaluation and Contract Committee, and the Bond Oversight Committee. 

 Mr. Bedford Jason Bedford
Trustee

Mr. Bedford was elected to a six-year term in 2022. He is a Director of Estimating for Alberici Construction and has been in the construction industry since 1999. Mr. Bedford is an active parent volunteer for the Swim and Track and Field Programs as well as the Howell Athletic Boosters. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Michigan State University and a Master of Business Administration from Western Michigan University. The Bedford family has lived in Howell since 2006. Mr. Bedford and his wife Jennifer have two daughters, one who is a 2022 graduate and another who is a freshman. Both attended Howell Schools starting in kindergarten.

Mr. Bedford is the chair of the Bond Oversight Committee, and serves on the Policy Committee, and 21st Century Technology Committee.

Mrs. Marhofer

Meg Marhofer
Trustee

Mrs. Marhofer was elected to a six-year term in 2022. She has been a Howell resident for 15 years. For many years Mrs. Marhofer owned and operated a successful photography business. She holds an associate's Degree in Business Management from Oakland Community College and has completed coursework at Central Michigan University. She is active in several local charities and plans to become even more involved in various community organizations. Mrs. Marhofer and her husband have five children, two who are Howell alumni, two who currently attend school in the district, and one future Highlander. 

Mrs. Marhofer serves on the Finance Committee, i3 (Instruction, Improvement and Innovation) Committee, and the Sex Education Advisory Board. 

Mrs. Zurek

Crystal Zurek
Trustee
Ms. Zurek was elected to a four-year term in 2020. She has taught health education for 10 years at Mill Creek Middle School in Dexter. She is in her 12th year of teaching. Ms. Zurek earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from Michigan State University and her Master of Science degree in Instructional Technology from Fort Hays State University. She is a member of the National Education Association. Ms. Zurek is the proud mother of a 2nd grader in Howell Public Schools.  

Mrs. Zurek serves on the Policy Committee, District Improvement Team, Sex Education Advisory Board, and the Coordinated School Health & Wellness Committee.
