Winners of the United Way Video Contest5/17/18 - Two Howell High School students took top honors in the annual Livingston County United Way High School Video Competition. Their video, entitled “It Starts With You,” focuses on the impact an individual can make in the community.

Colleen Kellogg and Keegan Holland, both enrolled in Mr. Aaron Metz’s TV and Video Production class, created the winning video this year. The students used original footage, along with photos and logos, to create a powerful message about how everyone can be involved in making life better through Livingston County United Way.

The winning team shared a $500 prize from the competition’s corporate sponsors Brennan Investment Services and Chem-Trend, LP.

Area high school students submitted nearly two dozen videos, and a committee of local media and communications professionals met in late April to select the winner. It will be shown to the community at local presentations, on the Livingston County United Way website, in social media and more.
