Student Support

Instructional Consultation Teams (ICT)

Each of our six elementary schools has an ICT Team, headed by a ICT Facilitator and the school principal. This team is activated when a child is found to be under achieving academically or socially and when traditional interventions from the classroom teacher have not been effective in bringing forth success. The school ICT team acts as our Child Find for HPS, and if the team of educators (teachers, social worker, counselor, administration and others) are not able to find effective interventions, the child may be recommended for special education testing.
